Empower Operations Showcases Agentic AI for Injection Molding Simulation at Moldex3D Symposium

Empower Operations recently presented its latest advancements in Agentic AI for injection molding simulation at the Moldex3D Symposium April 23-24 Detroit, Michigan. During the technical session, Dr. Cenk Feridunoglu demonstrated how autonomous AI agents can transform engineering workflows by helping engineers solve complex simulation problems more efficiently while keeping domain expertise firmly in control.

The presentation focused on one of the most fundamental decisions in injection molding design—gate location optimization—and illustrated how Agentic AI can automate and accelerate engineering tasks that traditionally require significant manual effort and expertise.

A key principle of the approach is maintaining the engineer as the decision maker. Rather than replacing engineering expertise, the AI serves as an intelligent collaborator—leveraging previous designs, engineering knowledge, and optimization methods to generate recommendations before computationally intensive simulations begin.
